Scam Warning: Avoid tech support phone scams

To all Internet users,

Please be advised of companies calling you and posing as Internet Service Providers or Microsoft. Legitimate IT support providers never engage in outbound calls offering support. If you receive any calls telling you that they are aware that you are facing any technical issue or selling services. They might offer to help solve your computer problems or sell you a software license. Once they have access to your computer, they will install malicious software that could capture sensitive data, such as online banking user names and passwords. Please bring these calls to our attention or to the Authorities.

We are Computer Squad Inc. and we only accept inbound inquiries. We may return your call to discuss your issue or regarding your account but only if you have initiated this.

MICROSOFT SCAM/WESTERN UNION SCAM

In a matter of the utmost importance, beware of people/companies calling you posing as Microsoft, stating falsely that Click4Support has shut down and they are offering to give you a refund of your entire purchase. They proceed to ask you to turn on your computer where they can connect and tell you to fill out a Western Union form or go into a Western Union local office. They ask you to pay an upfront postage fee (usually $99) and they will in return send you your full refund and the postage fee.
